Returns the rank of a number in a list of numbers.
The ranking of a number is the ratio of its size to other values in the list (if the list is already sorted, the ranking of the number is its current position).
grammar
RANK(number,ref,order)
Number is the number to find the rank.
Ref is an array of lists of numbers or a reference to a list of numbers. Non-numeric parameters in Ref are ignored.
Order is a number that indicates how to rank.
■ If order is 0 (zero) or omitted, the WPS table ranks numbers based on ref being a list in descending order.
■ If order is not zero, the WPS table ranks numbers based on ref being a list in ascending order.
Instructions
■ The RANK function has the same rank for the number of repeats. However, the presence of the duplicate number will affect the ranking of subsequent values.
For example, in a list of integers, if the integer 10 occurs twice and has a rank of 5, then 11 has a rank of 7 (there is no value with a rank of 6).
