- WPS forms store dates as serial numbers that can be used for calculations. By default, the serial number is 1 for December 31, 1899, and January 1, 2008
The serial number is 39448 because it is 39,448 days from December 31, 1899.
- The number to the right of the decimal point in the serial number indicates the time, and the number to the left indicates the date. For example, the serial number.5 indicates that the time is 12:00 noon.
- The function NOW changes only when the worksheet is recalculated, or when a macro containing this function is executed. It doesn’t always update.
