Use the FIXED function to specify integer decimal places

Rounds a number by the specified number of decimal places, uses periods and commas, formats the number in decimal format, and returns the result as text.

grammar

FIXED(number,decimals,no_commas)

Number The number to be rounded and converted to a text string.

Decimals A number that specifies the number of decimal places to the right of a decimal point.

No_commas A logical value that, if TRUE, prevents FIXED from including commas in the returned text.

Instructions

If Decimals is negative, the argument number is rounded to the left of the decimal point.

If the decimal is omitted, the value is assumed to be 2.

If its value is FALSE or omitted, the returned text contains a comma as usual.

The main difference between this function and formatting cells containing numbers using the Cells command on the Format menu is that the function FIXED turns its result

Change to text, and the result of the cell command formatting is still a number.
